The Theatres Trust provide small grants to theatres in need and at risk though their Theatres Protection Fund.
Their grant schemes address improvements and urgent repairs to theatre buildings, and they welcome applications and enquiries from all eligible theatres.
Theatres at Risk Capacity Building Programme: The Capacity Building Programme is only open to those theatres on their Theatres at Risk Register and the community and campaign groups that support them. Local authorities who are currently involved in projects to support their local Theatre at Risk or who have a clear plans and ambitions to progress such a project are also eligible for funding.
Theatre Improvement Scheme: Theatres Trust's Theatre Improvement Scheme, in association with the Wolfson Foundation, offers capital funding for theatres. The theme for the fund for the next three years is Improving Environmental Sustainability as this is an urgent priority for the sector. Theatre operators can apply for grants of up to £20,000 towards their building or equipment as part of the scheme.
